What SunWindow is
SunWindow shows computed sunlight information — sunrise, sunset, golden hour, blue hour, twilight phases, and the sun's position — for a location and date you choose. It is made by Hexperimental. By using the app or website you agree to these terms.
Accuracy — please read this one
Sun times and positions are astronomical approximations. Real-world light also depends on weather, terrain, altitude and atmospheric conditions, and computed times can differ from observed ones by several minutes. SunWindow is built for planning photography. Do not rely on it for navigation, aviation, marine, religious observance, or any safety-critical purpose.
Reminders
Reminders are delivered by your device or browser on a best-effort basis. Operating systems may delay or suppress notifications (battery savers, focus modes, closed browser tabs). Missing a notification — and with it, a shot — is a risk you accept by using the feature.
Your use
Use SunWindow lawfully and don't abuse the services it relies on — for example, don't script bulk requests through the app against Mapbox or OpenStreetMap. Map data is provided by Mapbox and OpenStreetMap contributors under their own terms and attribution requirements.
Intellectual property
The SunWindow name, icon, design and code are © Hexperimental. Map imagery and data remain the property of their respective providers. The sunlight information the app computes for you is yours to use freely — plan, shoot, publish.
No warranty
SunWindow is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hexperimental is not liable for any damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app — including missed golden hours.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use SunWindow after a change means you accept the updated terms.
